Baby snake in the house
Second baby snake we found in the house in the past 2 weeks. Apologies for the shaky and out of focus video, was quite squirmish at the sight of that thing.
Dad thinks it might be black cobra because we get quite a few of those around our area. I shudder to think where Mummy cobra is…
What worries me is the fact that we found these 2 UPSTAIRS! Where could she have laid them babies?!
I think it’s also an old Malay folklore that if you find the nest and don’t kill the mother, she comes back with a vengeance and attacks! Whole villages have said to been evacuated until the mother is hunted and killed.
What can we do to drive them out of the house? Suggestions?

Eeeks! You need to get pest control into your house. There may be more of them lying around!
I like how your mum is so gung-ho about touching it right, “touch it. just slightly! (x3) it’s too small to bite..” LOL.
In any case, get the pest control over. They’ll know the hiding places when they see one.
Yes I agree, call pest control to deal with it and pay for the peace of mind. Best to leave these things to the experts, especially when they involve potentially poisonous critters.
@Bing @Terence
I’m not sure what the pest control can do until we find mummy snake though.

I know she’s hilarious. That lady has no fear. Actually i do remember her going out in the garden killing a snake with a stick because she was afraid that snake would come back and harm us. She would do anything to protect us.
what happen to the two baby snakes found? deaht penalty?
Bring it to Kiara
In case the snakes are coming from outside the house, you could pour carbolic acid around doors and on window sills.
Hi Angela,
Back in school when I use to bring the Juniors out for camping trips, we will always lace the perimeter of the camp compound with a yellowish sulphur power. It is said to keep snakes away. That might help for your place.

@Hugo
Am afraid so.
@zdoublezero
it must have come from outside at some point, but it’s upstairs. Which means it could be in the attic or something through the windows or drains.
@Shawn
I heard that helps prevent but it gets washed away by rain very easily.
