Mrs Mac’s

August 23rd, 2010

Lookie what I found at  ParknShop at Wanchai Hong Kong awhile back, Mrs Mac’s Pies!! I’m sure they are available in Singapore as well, just haven’t seen them yet.

Mrs Mac’s is based in Perth and available at almost all gas stations and grocery stores. Brings back a lot of memories this one. My mum likes the famous beef pies and I used to buy back five to ten frozen pies home for her. Anyone in Singapore seen them at the frozen goods section?

    I’ve bought a few from Cold Storage at United Square but that was a few years ago, I’m not sure if they are still available now. Somehow, it just doesn’t taste the same as when I had them in Australia. Perhaps because it’s not winter and I’m not in school gorging on them for lunch. That and perhaps because we don’t get the sauce from those squeeze packets here ;)

    I’ve seen them at NTUC, I think! Call and ask!

    @Kein, definitely missing Supa Shakes! They used to bring them in at selected supermarkets but it’s sooooooo hard to find now!

    @Denise
    Oh YA! i remember those little ketchup packets! And everytime you squeezed it, you run the risk of squirting it all over yourself!

    @Kien
    hAHAha You remember the tomato squeeze packets too!

    @elainegan
    In Dubai! that’s probably harder to find. Actually i do wonder how big the variety would be in dubai. I mean there are so many foreigners, surely they have catered for the majority.

    @Geraldine
    NTUC?!?! really?? Ok, shall check. My mum would be so happy.

    Hey Angela, I used to buy them at the gas stations all the time. Hot and piping, just the thing to eat late at night when everything else was closed. Memories.
    They now have them at NTUC. I still buy them, although it’s a guilty pleasure!
