Messing around in the car with my Chinese-Colombian nephew. He is my cousin’s kid, so does that still make him my nephew? I’m not sure? Anyone care to enlighten?

People always say you should have loud thumping music when you run, you know, keeps you pumpin and the adrenalin going. Sometimes it works, but it was only 2 years ago that I realised that talk radio was also a great running companion.
I used to listen to alot of Scott Mills podcasts. I’d listened to it at work, on my commute, at home, so much so I got Janice on it as well. I guess it’s great for running because you’re concentrating on what is being said that I tend to forget how painful or how long the run is.

adidas recently took this step a bit further. They have created “missions” for your run! I thought the concept was really cute! The adidas Colour Missions is a set of downloadable tracks that can be downloaded from www.adidascolourmisssions.com that can be uploaded onto your mp3 player. There are 4 missions to choose from:
Yellow – The Getaway
Green – The Mothership
Blue – The Rockstar
Red – Before Dawn
Each one has a different scenario using sounds effects and storytelling. The storytelling goes through the whole track. It’s kinda cool because you try to visualise the scenario.
For example
“You are the lead singer in an international rockband, tonight is the gig of your life and you’re late…”
It’s a novelty thing and a cute campaign for the new ClimaCool Rides and worth trying out for the fun of it. Check out the splash of colours in this season’s shoes!

Anyway, going for a run with Mission Yellow – The Getaway, the scenario when my heist has gone wrong and I need to escape!
Interrupting my blog posts with a Jules update and cuteness overload.

Jules is growing fast, and getting too smart at times. The guy can totally operate an ipad.
Plonk himself down on his stool, open the ipad cover, press the home button, swipe screens to his games, open the application and off he goes!
I’m absolutely gobsmacked!
While walking on Mall Road in Shimla, we came across this lil fella running around in the square.

This guy is possibly the most excitable dog in the world
After the morning’s drama, we were finally in Shimla, one of India’s most famous hill stations and the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
I’m not sure if this is the same as other hill towns in India, but Shimla has a certain layout, with all her little houses and hotels cascading down the side of the hill. It’s like you turned the corner and this little enclave bursts into view with vibrancy and colour.

The town is at an altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft) and is surrounded by forests of pine, oak and rhododendrons. It still retains its colonial charm from back in the day when the British designated Shimla as the summer capital of India. But come winter, snow falls and buildings and trees are blanketed in white.

Places you must see in Shimla if you only have a short stopover is the Municipal Corporation (Town Hall), and Mall road which is the shopping market in Shimla. To get to mall road, best to take the lifts from Cart Road. This is the only place I’ve heard which has lifts for pedestrians up a hill to save them from walking! It costs approximately Rs7 per trip.
Scandal Point is the highest point on the Mall, a good place to take in the view of the town and have some breakfast and coffee to start off the day.
