When I was younger, my sister used to tell me I was picked up from the rubbish bin. Here’s a birthday card from her I found in my memory box, sent to me when she was studying in Melbourne.

*I had to blur the family nickname given to me to save myself from public humiliation for the rest of my life!
Easily one of mummy’s favourite restaurants. We chanced upon Dian Xiao Er at Vivocity one day, and have been back several times for a few of their signature dishes. Mainly the Roast Duck with Angelica Herbs and Dong Po Pork.

I highly recommend that you go for the set menu because it’s okay value and portions are just right. Food is churned out super fast too.We usually have the below menu for 4pax.
1. Steamed Rice
2. Duck Roasted w Angelica Herb
3. Baby Kai-Lan w Salted Fish & Lime
4. Mongolian Spare Ribs / Dong Po Pork
5. Soup of The Day
6. Hong Kong Style Steamed Fish Slices
7. Braised Assorted Mushroom w Broccoli

A family that exercises together, stays together will not play tennis again because we all suck! But we can juggle

Discovering new café that serves a decent cup of Java is the best way to spend my Saturday afternoon. A worthy mention is Kith Café on Rodyk Street. It was a bit difficult to find at first, but just head towards the canal, and you will the row of shops. It’s located on the ground level of the Watermark condo on Robertson Quay, and parking is free if you mention that you’re going to the cafe.
Designed by a Justin’s company Hjgher, I would have not expected anything less. Hipster enough for my liking, great coffees and free wifi seals the deal. It’s a small place, so expect to wait for a seat during peak hours on weekends.

Oh and for cyclists, check out Vanguard Bikes just a couple of doors down. They sell some very pretty refurbished bikes, and accessories.

A very belated post, for a birthday back in July, but needs to be documented. Had a fantastic dinner at Cocotte, menu specially put together by Head Chef Anthony Yeoh. No one does chicken as well as he does!

No trip to Singapore is complete without Jono having his Geylang beef kway teow. Was Dave’s first time to Geylang, was in two minds about sending him to a pink neon lit house on the premise that it was a row of “cultural exhibits”. I guess they do exhibit bits.

At CM-PB for a more chilled evening with the boys, Elz and Danli. I remember this night, we were in stitches… something to do with Dave’s toe?

When Jono & Dave were in town, I was raving about Bedrock. We had a fantastic dinner, insisting they try the oysters. Wasn’t disappointed. Nom!

Looking for a good brunch place in Singapore? One of my favourites is Spruce on Tanglin Road. It’s a great place to cure your morning hangover. I wasn’t too impressed with the dinner when I went there in the evening, but brunch menu is delicious.

My Favourites
I’d recommend making a reservation first, they get quite busy on the weekends.

I’ve kinda stopped partying, but I know when Jon is in town that goes out the window. OK to let loose once in awhile?
Pictures from last year’s J & D visit. I love going out with this group because it’s always a happy occasion, no dramas, good times, good friends. Will NYE this year look like this? All pictured except Dave will be in Singers. What to do? Where to go?

Last year when Jono and Davo was in town, I took them to one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in town – Santouka Ramen.

Jonus the next few posts are for you, just to refresh your memory of the good times past and the ones ahead!
See you in a few weeks!
I have a bit of a problem with regards to personal space. If I’m having a bad day, it’s usually its triggered by my morning ride on the MRT or bus.
I’m not comfortable with strangers invading my personal space. Every time someone stands too close… I think they are:
1. trying to brush their body against me for a cheap thrill
2. trying to smell my hair
3. about to grab my ass

I get uncomfortable when someone:
1. is standing too close to me
2. walks pasts and brushes against any part of my body
3. breathing down near my neck
4. yawning at close proximity, especially if they have morning breath! Pls cover your mouth
5. burping at close proximity, especially durian burbs, that’s just foul!
6. digging their nose right next to me, and proceed to flicking it off their fingers! Or god forbid, rolling, then flicking!
7. Picking eye dirt, it could easily fall on my shoes or shirt!
8. picking their pimples in public
10. Scratching their drandruff scalp, this one is horrible, because dandruff flakes are light and will travel when airborne.
11. Reading smses/magazines/books off my shoulder
12. Body Odour
13. After school smell
The list could go on, but I’m trying not to sound like a brat. But some people just have zero spatial empathy!
Testing…very testing…
Anyone else feel the same? Or do I seriously have a problem?
This does not happen. Daddy carrying a child! MUST.DOCUMENT.PHOTO.EVIDENCE!

Eye bags and hand bags. Ready to fly home!
