My favourite time of the year has come and gone, sometimes I wish it’d last for more than one night!
Feeling creative, the initial plan was to go in a home-made flamingo outfit, but then I spotted a fairytale costume I’ve always wanted to go as. Alice in Alice in Wonderland.
Wanted to carry an oversized biscuit that said “Eat Me!” or a bottle tag to put on my alcohol bottle which said “Drink Me!”.

I couldn’t pull off the second part of that costume, so I opted for something a bit more morbid. It is Halloween after all. I was an Alice gone wrong. I killed Mr. Rabbit.

Overall I thought my costume was great, the only thing I would have done differently is probably forgo the Wallace and Gromit sheep bag, because some people thought I was “Lil Bo Peep”!! Fail!

First stop was House@Dempsey, where most of the crew congregated.

Then we headed to Zouk which was waaay too crowded! So we left for Attica, which was also bursting at the doors. So in the end, it was supper then home.

I love watching the festively garbed adults walking the streets that night, even more so if they were in character.
Strangely, no little creatures came trick or treating this year. Oh how I wish this was the U.S. where we get to dress up our houses, and walk the streets like the New York’s Village Halloween Parade. So much fun!
I’d like to be Alice for more than a day. Think I shall wear my wig around the house tonight. I can pretend right?
Had a surprise call from an old friend and neighbour last week, and a catch up session was definitely in order. Jeevan came by for dinner with Grandma’s curry in hand! OMG how I missed her rendang. We’ve been neighbours and friends since we were kids, and I was probably 5yrs old when we started hanging out together.

We headed out to P.S. Cafe at Dempsey for coffee and dessert, reminiscing the good old days of Playground sports like:
Badminton – a line was drawn in the sand to represent the net
Cops & Robbers – I was always too young to play, so i stayed at the robbers end making sand nasi lemak with the leaves around me.
Sand Traps – we used to dig a hole in the sand, place a newspaper on top, pack the edges and sprinkled sand on top disguising the hole. Then we’ll wait for a friend to come by and walk right into the trap!
We have not seen each other in about 10 years and, and it felt like we’ve never been apart!

We’ve caught up with one brother, now for the next one, Dharan, in about a months time.
3 weekends ago, I went to Prisita and Devraj’s wedding at a Hindu temple in Serangoon. She looked absolutely GORGEOUS! I love Indian weddings, they are just MASSIVE, full of colour and flavours.
It was also a good opportunity to catch up with my Ogilvy girlies. The last time we met was probably for dinner at New York New York Suntec City to celebrate Averil’s last day at OPR.
After the wedding lunch reception, we headed down to Raffles City Gloria Jeans for a coffee & catch up. The only one missing was the bride.
